the project starts to come together
...
Remember those forty-four doors that we built, textured, and painted?
Well, they've been attached to a huge steel armature, and are installed at the theater. They form a massive, imposing wall that looms over the stage. I love how this looks, even though the floor and painted backdrop had not been installed when I took this photograph.
I think this is so stinkin' cool!

You just finished up that show with the crazy amounts of wallpaper, and now they're already setting up for the new show with the doors. Does your theater set crew work for more than one theater? Or are these shows only on stage for a couple of weeks at a time before being dismantled?
Just curious... since I don't work in the biz, I may be just stupid :-)

I really love watching your sets come together--it's great to see "in progress" and how it looks in the space.
