the project starts to come together

...

Remember those forty-four doors that we built, textured, and painted?

Well, they've been attached to a huge steel armature, and are installed at the theater. They form a massive, imposing wall that looms over the stage. I love how this looks, even though the floor and painted backdrop had not been installed when I took this photograph.

I think this is so stinkin' cool!

It reminds me of a cool, funky stage set for the old Laugh-In TV Show.

THis is something that has been lurking on my mind of late:

You just finished up that show with the crazy amounts of wallpaper, and now they're already setting up for the new show with the doors. Does your theater set crew work for more than one theater? Or are these shows only on stage for a couple of weeks at a time before being dismantled?

Just curious... since I don't work in the biz, I may be just stupid :-)

Hehehe. I can see Jim lurking in the background there. Ah, memories.

Wow, just Wow! Can't wait to see the finished project. This and the Vib play makes me wish I was still working at BRT. Or at least could fly out for a day to see the shows.

Seriously, this looks amazing.

I really love watching your sets come together--it's great to see "in progress" and how it looks in the space.

Are those mirrors behind some of the doors?

That is so cool! Where did the inspiration for the doors come from? What is the play about?
