It takes a shockingly long time for me to edit and organize my photographs, so this is just a teaser of what I'll be sharing, soon. We did an inspection of both of our beehives, and harvested a little bit of the honey.
I just talked to my mom in Asheville, NC, who has become a follower of your blog from my link list. She, like me, really enjoys your writing and photos! She mentioned this post about bees in particular.

Hey there- I don't know if you saw the photos I posted of the apple pie I made with your honey but the photos were great and the pie tasted greater! I melted the honey out of the wax, strained the honey out of it and saved the wax on a plate in my fridge. I figure when it warms up here I will put the wax/honey remains outside and let bees find it. is that ok? Or will mixing a new honey into an area bad for bees?
Also its been rainy and wet and cold here and it has driven ants inside my house. I am trying to co-exist with them, but its not working out that well. Supposed to snow here tonight. I'm not into it.
