Recovery -- The (mostly) Kitten Edition

...

In the midst of all the turmoil of Robb's spinal fracture, our little Found Cat continues to thrive. I took him for a follow-up visit at the vet, and both the vet and the technicians were blown away by the Little Dude's improvement. We all admitted that none of us thought he would live through the first week. To see him so fluffy and spunky is a true delight.

The other day he was play-fighting with his Big Uncle Cardigan. Cardigan gently tapped him on the forehead, and then did it again. He used his paw, and ever-so-slowly touched the Little Dude. The Little Dude got a crazy kitten look on his face, and tackled Cardigan's head. Adorable.

His hind legs are getting stronger, and he's now able to jump up on the bed. He sleeps with us most nights. Linguine is consumed with jealousy and dyspepsia. If she would quit eating his laxative-filled food, she might be less grumpy.

I'm going back to work on Monday, which means that Robb is going to be stuck at home by himself. I worry that he'll be bored out of his mind.

I will not rob your house- I have enough stuff, thank you. I posted photos of our house on facebook with my political signs and hope that no one from the opposing political party tries to come out and burn down my house or shoot out my windows. Better not happen!

Glad to see the cats are getting along and getting better- I predict Robb and the kitten (choose a name already!) heal alongside each other- slowly and patiently, but with the capacity for some fun thrown in. Thanks for your address- I am going to send you some books as well- I found a really weird one about cowboy whorehouses when I was in Wyoming. Just in case you don't have something like that in your collection already, and Robb wants a break from the crossword puzzles.

I hope your kitten isn't like my cat, who likes to sneak up on you, then use your body as a spring board to another part of the house. He especially likes doing it when your asleep. Until one night I caught him in the air as he was making for the spring... now he jets around or over me and aims for the wife.

Does Rob like Sudoku's?

Robb says, "I've never really seen the appeal of Sudoku. It's sort of like doing algebra for fun."

You (Robb) and the Little Dude keep on truckin'! You've both come a long way despite the setbacks!
So glad Little Dude is doing much better, now we just need to get Robb better too!

So sorry to hear Robb broke his back again! Does he want anything from NYC? I'm making a run to the post office this week and would be happy to send stuff over.

If anyone wants to mail us a book, we won't say no to that.

Don't mail us a kitten.

Between the cats and the bees, your house is impenetrable! From the looks of all the insanely cute photos of the kitties, it looks like they'd guard effectively by sticking their little red tongues out at passersby.

I'm so happy to see that little dude is working up some muscles in his hind legs. before you know it, you may have a kitten climbing all over the place;)

i didn't like sudoko either - until I actually sat down and tried it. until then I considered it to be totally senseless... as it turned out I was wrong. it actually great fun:)

if you haven't tried it before, start with an easy one, and when you get better, you will probably enjoy more advanced games of sudoko:)

wishing you both all the best!
