The Shoemakers' Children Go Barefoot

...

You might imagine that since I'm a professional painter, I'd have our little house painted, in no time at all.

And you would be mistaken.

Yeah, no peeking into my backyard... It's certainly not a native garden in its current state! Good luck with the project!

what color would say that was?

(my brother is a speech therapist (like me) and his daughter... ok, I'll say it, at 30, she still has a tiny lisp)

SO, it could be worse!

Love your blog entry...I have been wondering how the house was coming...yes, I was thinking that with your artistic ability that each and every room must be a "work of art"!!! (I am sure all of us readers would like a peek when you are ready)!!! However, I can relate...projects that involve paint color take time..choices are never easy...also after painting at work, perhaps painting at home is the last thing you would be looking forward to!!!!

Yes, well, I won't mention my dining room walls which are painted but the trim not taped or done, nor the fact that my children are sleeping in a plain white room which desperately needs a paint job, nor that my kitchen needs the horrid wallpaper stripped and replaced with paint. . . it's always more fun in the garden.

That's a wonderful porch, similar to what I'm hoping for except that ours will have railings all around.

By the way, can I say, your roof line is gorgeous. It'll be great when you have it all painted in contrasting colors.
