I need to buy a telephone pole

...

I've noticed that the local parks use telephone poles as dividers in their parking lots. But where do those come from?

Can anyone help me find the person who can sell me a telephone pole? I need this in the next few weeks.

Ummm... I am sure that this is totally unhelpful....but most people that need to buy a telephone pole have hit them with a car and will be billed automatically! Try getting in touch with your local phone company...WITHOUT hitting one with your car!

You got a chainsaw? and a moonless night? and big roofrack?

No?

Well, I guess you could ask the North American Wood Pole Council for a referral

We occasionally see someone who hits and takes out a telephone pole. The unfortunate person may wish that contact with said pole will kill them as the person who struck and took out the pole is charged $10,000 for the costs of removal and installation of a new one- digging a hole, purchase of pole, restringing new wire, Union costs for about 15 guys who stand around and scratch their butts.. A VERY BIG FINE. Hope yours costs less!

We needed some telephone poles this summer to act as runners for a couple of small bridges we wanted to build. My husband knew someone whose brother works for the telephone company--he hooked us up. These were poles that had been replaced, so technically they weren't up to telephone pole standards anymore, but they worked perfectly for us.
