it's a messy business

...

I'm still dragging with that miserable cold, and I'm still at work. I'll try to find some energy to share photos of what we've been working on. It's a really enjoyable project.

Flinging paint around is especially fun, since our last project was so nerve-wrackingly exacting.

My first response to this hand image is of a weathered Virgin Mary statue. WHEW- lots of repressed Catholic imagery there, eh?

My second idea was the image of the current teen vampire movie Twilight, that features an apple in the same sort of hand pose.

Either way, both images evoke iconic beings. Hope you get well soon and resume your throne as iconic stage craft gal right quick!

Gary and I put up a display of Native American artwork today at the local library. Also heard from a friend of mine who is going to Solar Power school to start his own business. Not a bad idea, lately. If Robb has any sort of electrical wiring/plumbing design experience, he could have a future as a solar brainiac- apparently the new industry is desperate for those skills.

That's funny, I thought of this as Lisa's hands after a particularly busy letterboxing event.

Oh I guess that's paint, not ink..

If we're going iconic, think of the blue handprints that children press on their home's walls in Latin America, as protection against the evil eye!
