Another Opening, Another Show...

...

I haven't "cleaned up" this photo yet. Still, it gives you an idea of what we've been working on all this time. We created every surface you see. The parquet flooring was made by us, we created the stain colors, and stained it all by hand. We created all the wallpaper from scratch. Everything you see on stage was made by someone in one of our shops.

And now, we're moving on to another show. A much less tedious show, thankfully. This one is lovely, but it was so, so, so fussy.

jiminy cricket! I thought the herringbone deck for Pillowman was involved!

wait, someone in the prop shop made a piano? that seems extravagant even for Ashley.

Still, impressive.

You ever visited the Royal Pavilion, Brighton? It's an architectural monstrosity designed for George IV that remains mostly intact, with furniture, today (though even Queen Victoria threw out some of the tackier pillows) There's a ladies' lounge off the great hall (which, incidentally, is decorated with large 3D dragons) which contains several furnishings similar to the ones on stage. Beautiful, but a bit much for my tastes.

Is it a doll house? It's amazing!!! If you say that is a stage and real-size people will be up there, my jaw will hang open for a week!!!

Thanks for sharing this link with me. Your tile floor is amazing. I am in awe of your geometric skills, patience, and your vision.
I've decided that I would just as soon live in my simple house. But my fantasy is to inhabit the million dollar mansions I make in 1:12 scale. In my fantasy, you'd be my neighbor.

Your house is amazing, as is your patience, your skill and your "vision". Thanks for sharing this and enabling me to aspire to even greater heights of crafting doll houses.
