Do you folks know about ETC (Environmental Traveling Companions)?

I trained as a sea kayaking guide for them back when I lived in the Bay Area. The trip from Sausalito to Angel Island, with an overnight stay, was out of this world!

Turns out you don't even need a fully functioning brain to go kayaking, either. Just get in, push off, and zen out. Nice.

So glad you gave it a try. My best kayaking friend has MS and is barely able to walk. I need to help her get into her kayak but once we are on the water our strengths and weaknesses switch. She's completely capable and at ease in the water. If we ever capsize I will be the one needing her help. Heron-A-Foot

You guys Go! We are getting our boats wet this week for the first time this year! Cant wait. Love to watch the boys in the double inflatable kayak...they look like professional racers when they are in synch - at age 11 & 12! Though last year Hubby had to tow them back upstream & against the wind...maybe we wont go as far this year!
