all joking aside...

Robb's new approach to walking really is an amazing improvement. When he makes an effort to use his shoulders, and walk more symetrically, he walks as quickly as I've seen him walk in the year since his accident.

The problem is that he still needs a cane (for stability) when we walks outside our home, and that gives him a very assymetrical gait, and doesn't allow him to use his new-found style of walking.

Perhaps we need to outfit his trekking poles with little rubber feet, and have him use to poles for walking.....

That sounds like a fantastic idea! It would definitely allow him to keep a "square" frame and allow him to keep his balance.

I'd say, go for it!

Baby shoes would work on treking poles. I saw a musician once that had a baby shoe on her upright bass. :)

Hey that sounds awesome! My daddy uses two canes to get up and going. It seems to give him a stability that one just doesn't, he hates the idea of any kind of walker deal so we got him two cool canes and off he went , for him fast!

GOOD LUCK IT CAN ONLY GET BETTER!!!
