the blog bogs down

We've been having some computer problems, so I haven't been able to write much lately. (Does anyone have the disk for the system software for OSX Panther or Tiger? We can't find ours....)

Anyway, this is going to be a weekend of socializing with friends (new and old) who have gone through huge recoveries.

On Sunday, a bunch of the Northern California letterboxers are getting together with Nanci (Bandaid) who is visiting from out of town. She was one of the many people from the national letterboxing community who wrote us with an inspiring story of her own recovery. All I can say is DANG! This woman is tough. After breaking her spine, she drove HERSELF to the hospital.

And on Monday, we're getting together with Drew, who beat bone cancer a few years back. I have the strongest memory of going out to dinner at the Helmand in Baltimore (owned by the brother of the president of Afghanistan, don'tcha know...) with Robb, Erin, Drew and Barbara. Drew was on crutches from his surgery, and Barbara had broken bones in her leg and arm from a huge motorcycle accident in Turkey. We were quite an impressive sight with all the assorted crutches and whatnot!

And speaking of impressive sights (but no broken bones), here are photos of Nadia and Christine's skydiving adventure.

Don't worry....We won't be doing this anytime soon!

With all of these inspiring stories of determination and recovery you'd think I could at least get my act together enough to do some grocery shopping, go back to yoga class and lose 15 pounds. . . I think I need to work on this.

Thanks for continuing to remind me that anything is possible !

Oh pshaw Terri! You're an inspiration to us.

But you should go to the grocery store!
