Our Jaundiced Kitty

...

Robb took the Indoor Cats to the vet yesterday, for a routine visit, and it turns out that Linguine has hepatitis.  Our always-awesome vet noticed that the skin inside her ears was oddly yellow, and so we scheduled some follow up tests, which proved positive.

Linguine is not exhibiting any symptoms of ill health, but we're medicating her for the next three weeks to help her liver heal.

Very strange, all this.  When I got hepatitis a few years ago, I was horribly, horribly sick.  And I also didn't get any medication at all.

I was sick as a dog, but that's not possible for our Linguine.

Linguine definitely couldn't be sick as a DOG. If know cats, that would be so beneath her! ;) Hopefully the meds will get this nixed in no time. Show the importance of routine check ups!

How strange! They gave medication to your cat, but you didn't get any? I wonder why.

One of my cats had hep, it was from not getting enough protein. This "free" cat had a hernia, then a broken leg and then hep. Before he was a year old. Oh, well. I liked him anyway.

Oh dear! I hope the medication helps Linguine heal up quickly! Was she being moody in this picture or is this her general reaction to having her picture taken? Also, how are Smog, Cardigan and Sleeves? Hope they are doing good too!!
