Wow--very cool. I was so bad this summer and never got my feeders filled. Every so often a hummingbird would buzz my head and give me a dirty look--hey, lady! where's the food!!!

Hi Lisa, Though I see the advantage and need perhaps ... due to droughts and other reasons for loss of native flowers, I have a hard time accepting feeders. I think of them as the MacDonalds of the bird world. I worry what sorts of poisons, gmo's etc. may be in the sugars that most use. I have been contacting Hummer society folks for years and they all think me silly mostly I guess. I am sure the gentleman who truly cares for the hummingbirds that visit his home... means well... but 9,000 in a day! How natural is that? I just cannot find joy in seeing a tiny hummer sipping from plastic. I know I could be wrong ... but I wish we would all work together to create corridors for all wildlife to help them along their migration routes. Rather like bike paths. I also do appreciate the joy and purpose the gentleman and others must feel when experiencing wildlife in this extraordinary way. Carol
