On the Berlin subway fairly late a few Friday nights ago, we stepped onto a car empty but for a group of young people clearly on their way out to a club or other fun. As soon as the train pulled away from the station, two of the young men approached us by walking on the seats and swinging from the overhead handrails, then very gravely informed us that the floor was made of lava and we should be careful because our feet would soon burn.
Of course we both immediately lifted our legs off the ground and kept them straight out in front of us the next ten minutes or so until we reached our stop. The young men kept us well-entertained with their parkour-like gymnastics and verbal outpourings and seemed delighted we old folks took their warning seriously. So it's not just chickens that play the lava game, at least here in Germany.
(Best subway ride ever, if that wasn't already obvious.)

Chicken games. I KNEW they did things like this with their spare time.
