Here's a lovely little film that I think blog readers will enjoy. I don't want to say too much about it, because it's really special and should be enjoyed with fresh eyes. (Watch it in the largest format you can, because the photography -- and the light -- is beautiful.)

Thank you. I often think my children are lucky, as they are delighted in general where they live, and in particular in our neighborhood. I'm not sure I'll ever feel as rooted, but they do. And that's something! I love the bit about the evacuated children planting themselves there.

Darn, that scenery, with the stone walls, and sheep, is making me really REALLY homesick...and I've lived here for almost 30 years. It's one of the few things I really miss.
