Jungle Cats

...

We share our yard with a pride of Fearsome Lawn Tigers. These wary creatures are elusive, and must be approached with caution.

The Lawn Tigers have amazing camouflage. Smog is the exact color of our silty soil.

He is still not feeling well, and hopefully will be going back to visit the vet today.

Smog gets a little too much enjoyment out of hunting the garden plants. These mustard greens are past their prime, and need to be replaced. Robb and I will have to rig up an anti-cat-shield to protect the baby beets that I intend to plant.

Why do we find cats' tongues so entertaining?

Smog is such a wonderful little cat! I really do hope that he will get better soon!

And Cardigan and Sleeves are such beautiful cats. They really are lovely:)

Smog really is very adorable. I'm not sure why we find cat tongues so intriguing, but they are. Our eighth ancient toothless wonder of the world always look amusing when his tongue sticks out of the side of his mouth ;) I hope little Smoggie is feeling much better soon.

I love that term "Lawn Tiger" - lol! I have a Lawn Tiger who's rather small at about 8 lbs soaking wet. One day I saw her chasing a very large dove - rather hysterical, as they were of similar size ;-))

Kitty tongues are wonderful but I have a soft spot in my "tee-hee" place for their tiny front teeth.

I responded to your comment on my blog, just in case you're interested. If you have some great gardening expertise, I might beg some advice from you soon!
