Wow, so cool. So I wonder if there have been any attempts to go further down than that 1960's dive team. Fifty years, you'd think someone could have gone further.

What a beautiful poster!

Listening to NPR a bit ago, a Biologist was talking about the place (around 3000 ft below sea level) where light can't penetrate. She said one of the names for it was "The Cusp of Perpetual Darkness". That name has stuck with me...

I remember seeing something like this chart years ago, only it showed the gross financial distances between what super rich people made, and what normal people made.

I was having so much fun scrolling down the poster, then got to the oil rig... following it down, I just had to smack my hand to my forehead. Why did anyone think that was a good idea?
I really like the above-ground part of it, though- like the percentage of oxygen at different heights. Neat!
