so much warmth!

...

Here's something to make everyone smile. (Click here! Click here! I'm not going to tell you what it is, because you need to experience the awesome-ness for yourselves.)

I have to admit, I'm still in a muddle. I'm really, painfully embarrassed around my co-workers, and feeling all sorts of icky about delving into my feelings about my past.

But I'm in awe of the kindness of blog-posters. Thank you.

Don't feel icky, just enjoy the warmth! :)

my coworkers do the same thing to me too. the worst part is that they often do it right on the other side of the wall where my desk is, acting like they have forgotten i'm there and can hear every word. >_< tell you what, when the knitters take over the world in a more visible manner, we'll have lots of fun and make them miss out

Thank you for sharing what must have been hell on earth for you. You give us a glimpse into the reality of abuse -- how dare an adult be so horrible to a child? Lisa, you have clearly done so much with your life, adding beauty to where there once was none. The world is a better place with you in it and don't ever forget that!

As for the co-worker situation, if it was intentional, shame on them. They missed out on getting to know the great person of you. It could just be that they just don't know you well enough, or that you are their superior and they needed to blow off steam, or since you were out of sight (different room) - you were therefore out of mind. Regardless of the reason, if all your blogger friends could be in one place, we'd fill a room with interesting people who want to spend time with you.

Hang in there...this too shall pass!

I like what Karen said about the knitters. I just ordered this magnet for myself, and a few to give away:

Do you think knitting makes you smarter, or do smart people knit? Hmmmmm? Either way, I guess there is hope for all those non-knitters.

Feeling painfully icky around your co-workers?

Do your awkard workplace feelings remotely compare to my own ...

"Got stinking drunk at the office party and jumped on the table and tossed your top off while singing off key 'I'm not so innocent' Britney Spears songs?"

or-

like " Went insane and took a meat cleaver to the office party because you were pissed off someone took your parking spot away?"

Guess which one of these BAD office behaviors got me into trouble? Go ahead.. guess. If you guessed BOTH you would be close!

Just kidding, Not really... but in the fantasy life that exists in my head, I have done these, and worse! If I HAD actually did something like this, I have probably blocked it out, or was too spaced out to remember, I hope.
