worm grunting!


I'm posting this video for two reasons. One, because I think it's really interesting (how often do you get to see fleeing earthworms?) and two, because I knew Ken Catania the mole expert when we were all in high school.

It's not every day that the online news headlines mention "worm grunting."

Worms can move fast! Last weekend I was weeding the garden and actually saw mating earthworms. They were coming out holes about 6" apart, lying snuggled up along each other - and when I bent down to look at them, they sprang apart startling fast & vanished down their separate holes. It was very cool. Neat video, thanks for sharing.
