Fireworks?

...

Robb and I both love fireworks, but we're not such huge fans of traffic jams or mobs of people. Robb loses his balance in huge crowds.

Can anyone offer any suggestions for fun, somewhat low-key places to spend July 4th in the greater Bay Area?

Make a cake in the shape of a house and put a sparkler in it!

The city of Richmond does their fireworks on the 3rd, which can be seen from the Marina or from Pt. Richmond. Benicia has fireworks on the 4th, with lots of spots along the waterfront for viewing and less crowds.

I'll be at a friend's place somewhere in the hills of Oakland. Apparently, they have a good view of the fireworks from there...
