Egg-Stravaganza -- You're Invited!

...

Would you like to learn to make Ukrainian-style Easter eggs? Would you like to hang out with me and Robb?

On Saturday, April 4th at 1pm, we will be hosting another Eggstravaganza at the Berkeley Rep Scenic Studios at 2526 Wood Street, in West Oakland.

You're the most garden-loving folk I know, so I thought you might want to know that I heard on the radio (and double checked on their website) that this will be the last year of the SF Flower and Garden Show...gardenshow.com, if you're interested.

If we lived closer we most likely would. But as we are 3,000 miles away we are going to celebrate Easter by having Gary's mom come visit us from her latest trip to England, and she can also come meet our latest barn cat, Sneakers.

We got Sneakers from a local farmer who also has many, many big red chickens running all over the place, and I suspect that's where we will get our eggs for Easter from, soon.

Gary and I are not religous in any sense of the word. However many local churches here celebrate the Easter holidays by having a big "feed" for all the locals who show up for Mass. We have tossed around the idea of finding us an honest to goodness "snake-handling church" attended by locals for Easter, but even my neck of the woods isn't THAT rural! I dread what they might serve as food after their "snake mass" anyway, but their music is supposed to be really good.

Once again, I would LOVE to come to your Egg-Stravganza! However, I still live on the East Coast....

Note to self: move to Bay Area by Easter of next year so I can be a part of Lisa and Robb's event!

I wish I could get to California just to learn to make these eggs! I remember seeing them last year and I looked over the directions, but I'm much more a hands-on learner :( Can you do a web-cast so all your blogger followers can join in? JK--I coudn't even figure out how to find a webcast. Please post some pics of your beautiful designs.
