"I had a brain scan today."

...

"I wonder if they'll find anything at all."

How about this elegant object, by Neil Fraser? It uses images from an MRI scan of his own brain to create a lovely wooden puzzle. Nice.

Maybe THAT'S what I did with my brain! Left it lying around and some inventive artist found it, cut it up and made some art out of it.

Frida Khalo would have loved one of those block puzzles about trying to put her spine back together, when it come to making artwork out of an injury.

Long before your time, and long before CT scans, there was a Hall of Fame pitcher named Dizzy Dean. Once while trying to break up a double play, he was hit in the head by a thrown ball. The next day, papers across the country had one of the most famous sports headlines, "Xrays of Dean's head shows nothing."
