I know because I was there-Mom was taken into the delivery room and I,after a while was sent out of it by the Doctor because he said the delivery was going to be difficult because Robb was upside down and backwards (at least that is what I remember of the event)- I retired to the waiting room of Brookhaven Memorial Hospital, Patchogue, NY where I was alone,it was late and all the visitors and hospital people had left. I waited and did what expectant fathers do, I paced. I heard an ambulance pull up to the ER which was at the opposite end of the hallway from the delivery room.I watched as the ER people jumped into the rig and vigorously worked on reviving the the patient. After about four or five minutes, the most active ones threw up their arms, slumped and I heard a couple of "damns", they had lost him and then, on cue, there was the very loud yell of a new born child from the other end of the hallway. It had to be Robb because only he and Joan, his mother, were in the delivery room with the pros. And so it took about ten months thereafter with his mother and I, every night taking two hour shifts to walk the floors with him to keep him from wakening the rest of the house and our neighbors with his insistant attempt to have center stage, before he decided to undertake a quieter and more serious role. We loved every minute of it. With love HAPPY BIRTH DAY Mom and Dad

I know because mine is the day after so I'll never forget his. :-) Happy Almost-Birthday, Robb!
