I'd love to, but NYS only lets party members vote in primaries. Even worse, NY only lets registered Democrats or Republicans volunteer at the polling places. So no voting for us independents until the actual election.

Me too. Closed primaries. No vote for independents. And I just can't bring myself to register with a party.

Voted yesterday (read blog today). My guy lost NYS, but got a fair number of delegates (proportionally). It's interesting, because, despite my best efforts to not fit into easy categories, my vote fits in exactly to my demographic profile (male, arts guy, young(ish). Strangely too, so did my mother (female, war monger-y, over 45)
