Marathon, man!
Also this past weekend: we finally decided to try to cycle the twenty five miles we need to ride for the BORP fundraiser Saturday.
And we did it.
In all we cycled 26 miles– the equivalent of a marathon. Wouldn't you know it though, on the very same day at the Berlin Marathon, somebody set a new world record of 2 hours, 4 minutes and 26 seconds, edging us out by just an hour or so.
Apparently this runner was in a pretty big hurry to finish and neglected to stop for lunch. Also, I understand that during a race he stops to lie down considerably less often than I do.
Still, I'm competing against no one but myself. (Which is probably a very good thing.)

Now you gotta go out there and kick some bike butt! Run OVER somebody if you gotta, just win! I suppose that my advice to you now cancels out any good karma I tried to acrue by sponsering you guys in the first place. Please put little silvery handlebar streamers on your bike, that would really rock!
Also, try not to run over squirrels, they remember when you do and come after you agressively, later. I have found this out the hard way.
