a day at home
So, it turns out that Robb's fever was most likely the result of a bladder infection resulting from his spinal cord injury. I drove him to a lab for some tests today, and we're awaiting results. He no longer has a fever, but has very low energy, and had a quiet day at home.
Since I worked on Sunday, I took today off, and tried to catch up on some housework. I'm not sure why, but I've been particularly un-energetic when I get home from work. And, thus, the housework has been piling up.
An amusing thing about doing a lot of laundry at one time is the opportunity to make observations about one's taste in clothes.
Linguine took the opportunity to deposit more cat hair in the laundry basket, bypassing the clothes altogether.

I'm looking with envy upon your clothes drying in the sun... we get snow this Thursday, and its gonna be gross. The first snowfall of the year is never white here, as it always cleans all sorts of crap and pollution out of the Detroit air, given the area's history of heavy industry. Also, I'm not mentally prepared for wearing layers and layers yet. I'm not one of the inbred locals here who look with fondness on those 20 below zero days as "good for ice fishing".
Glad to hear you guys figured out what Robb's illness came from, I wonder if he will be put on antibiotics to clean his system out. His resistance is down from his lengthy recovery I bet, but give him time and he will become stronger. Just keep him away from obviously sick people, This might be one of several "tests" his body gets hit with on his way to recovery. When I had been sick with an intestinal blood disease overseas, don't you know it was the perfect time to also catch chicken pox. Keep Robb away from indulging any impulse of teaching refugee kids, thats all I can say.
To inject some humor here, this sudden illness might also be a reaction to his doner part- do you know for certain if Robb's doner was an anti-drinker? This might be an ideological stand of some sort, demanding a non-alcoholic brand weaker than one of Robb's own brewing. Perhaps the part is asserting a cultural statement of it's own, demanding red meat or some nascar races. All I can suggest is rest and petting the cats, its not much, but If Robb has been pushing himself hard in those workouts, he could use a good snooze.
Thinking of you guys-
Annalisa
