"Naked Ladies!"
Is what my friend Gaby shouted out when we drove past these very flowers the other day.
I first encountered these flowers when I was working at the New Harmony Theatre in Indiana. But the locals in New Harmony were more demure, and called them magic lilies. These flowers have no foliage when they bloom, and seem to magically spring from the earth.
Cute, huh?
(What did you think I was talking about, anyway?)

Your posting of flowers makes me think about your future garden-
Every time you guys go down to the beach you should/could bring back some seaweed and dig it into your dirt. Seaweed is awesome as a garden fertilizer, and perhaps if it is eaten by any remaining rats, they will be engaged in singing sea chanty's as you dig them up.
The last time I went to California for work I collected and dried seaweed to carry back to my midwest garden. Try taking that in your carry on luggage these days! That is obsessive gardening at it's best. I would totally brave homeland security in my quest for better tomatoes!

Can they be separated I wonder like the Hostas that I have here?
just popping in to say helllllloooooooooooooo I'm glad Rob is doing so well with his recovery....maybe you should ask the Pimp My Ride show to pimp Rob's ....ride....
Lisa, I totally feel the anti-creative muse too.Maybe it's because Pluto has been downgraded at last....who knows...What I do know is it will change. I keep telling myself to remember all artist's go through this...famous or not. It's just part of the process. The good thing is that it doesn't keep me from appreciating the aesthic wonders of the world...like your photos...
