I am so happy for you =o) And, might I say that if I accomplished everything you did that day, I would feel like I needed a day off too, so congrats on feeling like a regular homeowner after the first (of many I am sure) hard days of work =o) I can't tell you how happy and proud I am of you guys!

Cheers!
RheaThe Gillespie Tribenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21900544.post-76509172960745040382009-08-23T06:09:04.566-07:002009-08-23T06:09:04.566-07:00I'm so excited for both of you and all the won...I'm so excited for both of you and all the wonderful projects, fun and some may be not so fun, as you make YOUR imprint of this house and make it your home. Already I can hear the joy and pride in your new home by your words!

Okay... you have rested reading these words, now onto the next project, mentally thinking or attacking it physically!

Wendy In The EastbayAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21900544.post-3392090083855554432009-08-22T19:56:51.841-07:002009-08-22T19:56:51.841-07:00Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, and Hooray! Don't advertise too loudly how well you are doing when it comes to home repair, or you will have the phone ringing off the hook. By the way, Gary has resumed our "Adventures in Plumbing Project". GRRRRRRRRRRRR.

At this point, I told him I would like to see him not hit the pipes with a hammer in frustration anymore. I'm slightly exaggerating. He has to deal with a leaky pipe that my dad put in 43 years ago- and god only knows what they used back then to put stuff together. I'm certain that it's not just solder we are smelling when we fire up the propane torch. Here's hoping your pipes are in better shape than ours.

(Oh yes, and our pipes had passed inspection before we got the place!)

Glad to hear someone is at the place during the day and making headway on projects- our project list was whittled down somewhat after 3 years- it used to be 4 pages long. Now we get to deal with new projects as well as the old ones! Yippee!

AnnalisaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21900544.post-36677111713791027122009-08-22T11:13:22.784-07:002009-08-22T11:13:22.784-07:00I like a full day of work as well as anyone, but I...I like a full day of work as well as anyone, but I am of the belief that with age comes the ability to "pace yourself". The work I do with children has taught me to go for the long term run. I am the drop of water that carved the Grand Canyon, not the flooding torrent that pushed everyone downstream.

I am reminded of this when I drive San Pablo Ave.. There are cars that zip around me, annoyed that I am just bumbling along. But you know... we end up next to each other at the light.

::::smile:::: it sounds like the new house is going to show you all the love you put into it!Kellyann Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02885203487094654761noreply@blogger.com
