Because we're Total Dorks, Robb and I have been watching far too many Mark Bittman cooking videos. I've never been one of the people who believed that Julia Child filmed her cooking show while drunk (Don't you be talking trash about Miss Julia), but I'm willing to consider this as a possibility about Mister Bittman.

That woman pretty much invented the cooking show genre, and produced complex French recipes under the most primitive conditions of live television. You can see how very nervous she was, particularly in the earliest episodes.
You think you can do that without looking a bit goofy? I don't think so.
And I would never, EVER, disrespect The Julia. Scout's Honor. :-)
