I haven't been able to collect my thoughts about my maternal grandmother, who just passed away. She was a wonderful woman, who taught me to love and appreciate the natural world.

Here she is on her 90th birthday, with my sister and great-grand-daughter Lindsay (who turns four this weekend).

Lisa I live in my grandmother's house, sleep in her bedroom, and am surrounded by her every day. I miss her and think of her every day!

Right now I am sorting photographs (again) and I found one of my grandfather and she had written on the back: "This is Fran, about 64, how he always smiled at me. How I loved him!" I had to create a whole scrapbook around it :)

My grandmother passed away five years ago. Every time I see a bearded iris I think of her. She loved them and her yard was full of them. Luckily, I was able to get some of her iris to plant in my yard.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I'll be thinking of you.

I'm sorry.
I think having to say goodbye is the worst part of being grown up. My grandma passed in June, and it still feels unreal.

Best wishes as always- lli

I lost my grandmother a year ago; she was 89. I miss her still but will always be grateful for everything she gave to me.

My thoughts are with you and I am so sorry for your loss. Take heart in that she lives on in you and your memories of her.

Peace.

I'm so sorry, Lisa. I lost mine on Father's Day 2000. I really miss my Grannie all the time. Yours reminds me of mine.
