Off to the East Coast!

...

After a lot of shilly-shallying around, I finally got confirmation that I'm going to New York to for three weeks. And -- YIKES -- I leave in a week.

I'll be working in a scene shop near Nyack, painting a show that Robb and I did at Berkeley Rep in 2004. I expect a very heavy work load. But the project is so interesting, that I won't mind.

Our little experimental trip to Oregon proved that Robb isn't ready for plane travel, yet. So he'll be staying at home. Now that he is driving again, this won't be such a gigantic hardship. I still need to hire a pet service and a maid to take care of all the chores that Robb can't do.

I hope that our Bay Area friends will find time to spend time with Robb while I'm gone.

OH...Lisa..this sounds so exciting. Work, even hard work, when it's something you love, is a beautiful thing. My best wishes for safe travel!
Now as for Robb's care and feeding whilst you are away...I wish I lived closer so he could be properly spoiled. But I suspect there are tons of friends there to make sure Robb is the Bestest Spoiled Boy in the Bay Area. So, here's to letterboxing friends that like to bike ride and cook veggie!
Can't wait to hear about your adventures!
They have bee barf in New York...don't they?

Lisa...

I know that your schedule will be incredibly busy...but please tell me you might find some time to get together. You are going to be less than an hour from me!!!

hey Lisa, this is Marcela Cordero from Baltimore (Gina's friend, Sandy's girlfriend). Gina shared with me the link to this blog. You've done an amazing job! -- I wanted to tell you that I have been doing a certain kind of chigong (chilel-qigong.com) which I have found very helpful for supporting healing, and perhaps can be helpful to Robb. I have a book with instruction from the teacher I learned it from many years ago, and a tape that I can send you if you email me with your address to mar.cordero@gmail.com. Best to both of you -- Marcela
