They create stark terror to many, which is why so many people run in fear from them! We all hear people running from swarms of them, screaming "zom-BEES are attacking!" They try to sting holes into our heads so they can try to suck out our brains, but, being dead, don't have many good brain cells left that work, so will settle on stinging any part of you. Yep, that's about it....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21900544.post-17461035185973054542010-04-29T21:06:56.664-07:002010-04-29T21:06:56.664-07:00Sadly, the slugs really really really love our you...Sadly, the slugs really really really love our young sunflowers.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03932975112078606231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21900544.post-20580877864918716002010-04-29T21:00:26.634-07:002010-04-29T21:00:26.634-07:00Wowee! I will need to do a bit more research and thought before taking on this, but I really would like to do this. We have 13 citrus trees and a few other fruit trees and herbs that are always covered with bees. Maybe they are trying to tell me something....Carla https://www.blogger.com/profile/11916690492134807112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21900544.post-48160963004848916202010-04-29T07:55:52.287-07:002010-04-29T07:55:52.287-07:00It sounds harrowing! So glad it worked out, but I keep picturing the warring bees in medieval tunics and long swords valiantly defending their castle!Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07938196559124125578noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21900544.post-3504431091980634722010-04-28T22:30:02.619-07:002010-04-28T22:30:02.619-07:00I love it that bees carry their dead to the flower...I love it that bees carry their dead to the flower beds - and perpetuate the cycle (bodies decompose and help the flowers which the bees then pollinate). Nature is fascinating! And so is beekeeping from your narrative.
