green with envy
...
Last night I attended a class on replacing one's lawn with water-saving native plants.
The thing is: I don't have a lawn.
I'm in no peril of having a lawn.
And yet, I envision the ambitious gardens that I could create, full of California native plants, fruit trees, and veggies.
I suppose my garden fantasies are no more irrational than the people who imagine jetting off to Paris with George Clooney.
We all can dream, right?

Dreams about a great and green lawn/garden are usually just that- my yard is green, and most of that comes from the weeds. We put in raspberry vines last fall, however, and they are doing ok now. Maybe you could grow those in your garden space?
